A woman has been brutally trolled by foodies online for her “classic spaghetti bolognese” which some people say could have been Shrek’s dinner.
The social media user, known as Gwen W, shared a picture of the dish to the Rate My Plate group on Facebook, and users didn’t hold back.
Rate my Plate is a community where people upload pictures of their weirdest and most wonderful dishes to be judged by fellow foodies, but the latest creation to be mocked was Gwen’s.
On the plate was a generous serving of pasta, which had been dyed a bright blue colour, with a dollop of tomato minced meat placed on top, which she simply captioned: “Classic Spag Bol by Gwen W.”
One said: “Every once in a while, a creative person takes a chance to create something beautiful and shares it with the world. This is not one of those times.”
“If Covid-19 was a meal,” added another.
A third person said: “Looks like a cat ate yarn and regurgitated it.”
“Fantastic, top marks,” penned a fourth unimpressed user. “However I wouldn’t feed that pile of sh*** to my neighbour’s cat, and I hate cats, especially ones that crap in my garden.”
While a fifth joked: “Shrek will be pleased you cooked him dinner.”
And one wrote: “Ah, a classic spag Bol, made with plasticine, by Gwen W, age 7.”
Despite all the negative feedback, Gwen had a couple of fans who said: “Love it my nephew used to always have his pasta coloured, only way he would eat it xx.”
Another asked: “What is the pasta called? I’d love some of it!”
